After doing a blind random selection process for which colour I would use for each drawing, I have started to form an opinion on the use of different colours other than the cyan-magenta-yellow colour model I often use.

Being straight up and blunt about it, I don't like it.

Adding my thoughts and a little explantion behind my "I don't like it", I find that using a variety of colours do not blend well for how I work. I love working in layers. I love breaking that typical comment artists get of "Why would you do that?", "Why would you cut your drawing?", "Why would you draw over your drawing?", "You should have left it how it was", "It was better before you did that". I have enjoyed challenging these questions and as my close circle says, I enjoy "ruining" my drawings. I feel like I can't do this with the various colours. I have found that they dont cooperate with each other and I cant layer my drawings in a way that each drawing peaks through the next. When I think back to the CMY colour model, the three colours combine to create new colours with each layer. Not only can you still see a drawing beneath another drawing, but you can also pick apart an almost in between transitional layer that is unintentionally hovering between the two drawings. This distinguishing between images through continuous layering is also very practical as I can see what I am drawing.

I also feel really lost with the use of various colours. I can't make sense of them practically, as previously stated, but I also can't make sense of them contextually. Again, being honest about it, if anyone asks me about the use of these colours, I wouldn't know what to say, and would probably end up making something up on the spot that would make absoluetly zero sense to the person that I am speaking to, but also zero sense to me. Contexually thinking about the CMY, I have always thought about it as some form of opposite or contradiction. CMY is the opposite of RGB. CMY is a physical, whereas RGB is a digital. It's simple to think about it that way, but then also working digitally the contradiction begins to make sense. And when I talk about working digitally, I do not mean doing the colour/image shift (Samoiloff effect) that I have previously used in my work (which is slowly starting to frustrate me a bit when people bring it up and are almost focused on it, thinking that all I am doing is wanting to continue with this, because I haven't thought about doing this for quite a while), I mean the use of digital tools that I use to develop and often plan my work, the digital hints that show up in my drawings, etc...

Just a little rant. But yea. These thoughts were written down as a note on my drawings in real time. Im just uploading the thoughts here as well.

Below I have shuffled the boards and have also switched some out as well as added more to the wall. I have also started on another drawing which is being done in greyscale.
