Install and Thinking

When thinking about installing my work, the only 'problematic' pillar was this on with the legs (above). I have tried three different variations of layout, changing the panels that I have placed on the floor. The first was having both legs jutting out but with one leg flipped. The second was having one leg jutting out and having a different panel with a different drawing jutting out. The third was having both legs jutting out in the correct orientation with the drawing.
I found that having both legs jutting out in the correct orientation worked the best with my ideas. Although slightly humerous and comedic, I found it to be more playful, aligning with a previous enquiry about age regression, where someone reverts to a fun, energetic, lighthearted, childish state. I also found that it aligns the most with my ideas relating to prosopagnosia; bring broken fragments back together to be a whole. The process of doing this with prosopagnosia can be very playful and quite humorous, so it made sense to use both legs in their correct orientation.
I also wanted to stick to installing these panels on the floor in a strategic way. I enjoyed the way that they broke up the pillars that were installed in a vertical and horizontal way, and gave a new way of viewing the works.
