Having a little pre-critique session of what I have been working on and producing over a couple weeks has been helpful in pinpointing that playing around with my creativity and seeing how my work guides me and what can be produced can be really helpful in the long run.

The act of taking my own reference images stems from lived experience as well as capturing points of view that tend to go un-noticed. When using said reference images, I often drastically crop them within my drawings as I feel more drawn to areas of interest such as emotional portrayal and movement, more often than not being lead to areas of my own identity/face.

In a similar way, the optic works that I have been producing throughout the years also stems from lived experience but focuses on sensory outputs and 'static-visual' movement.
The drastic visual differences between the pencil drawings and the optic works were found to produce some form of unity when placed together. (Especially when the drawing of the eye was placed in proximity to the optical works).
