Install / Layout Planning

When thinking about how to install these boards into my assigned install space, I wanted to try and subtly reflect my working space. I had the idea of pinning up a couple boards the same way I have them pinned up in my studio space, as well as having a couple on the floor leaning against the wall. I was also thinking about having some boards flat on the ground as a nod to how I prefer to work on the floor.
I recieved a suggestion to install the works as a freestanding structure as it reinforces the idea of relocating my studio walls as a new, provisional space. There was thought of a 2400mm high and wide wall with a 1200mm wide return wall.

I feel like moving into the idea of freestanding structures to install my work would help enforce my ideas and interest in embodied movement, looking at how I can get the audience moving around the space and the work rather than a standard hang of a painting.
For now I think I would like to look at a much more simplified version of a freestanding wall for the seminar coming up, at least bringing in the idea of free standing structures and the audience moving around the space. I hope that in doing so, the ideas around structures will make their way into the critiques, allowing for more thoughtout and indepth research leading into the seminars later in the year.
